EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Thayendanega Health Centre Community Health Nurse In Charge (NIC) The Community Health Nurse in Charge is responsible for identifying, assessing, planning, delivering, evaluating, and documenting nursing interventions that address the health issues and health needs of the residents of the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. To collaborate with the community, families, individuals, other professionals, organizations, and governments, to meet those needs. The goal of the NIC is to promote and preserve the health of the community through a focus on health promotion, health maintenance, and health education. The NIC supervises health prevention and promotion programs directly accosiated with the Community Health Nursing program. The Southern Ontario Zone Nursing Officer, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, shall provide functional support as required and as related to nursing practice. The NIC works under the management and support of the Health Services Coordinator, the Chief Administrative Officer, and overall authority from the Tyendinaga Mohawk Council.
