Dear Paul and the Conference Planning Committee:
I want to congratulate and thank the committee for organizing another successful PLA conference. It was inspiring to see so many new faces this year. Even though I missed seeing some of the Ontario college practitioners, I was happy to see that this year's participants truly reflect the national interest. We continue to grow thanks to the efforts of FNTI and CAPLA.

While one might think that organizing an annual conference gets easier each year, I believe that it just becomes more challenging! Let me share a few of my observations of this year's proceedings with you. I thought Terry Durkin's keynote speech was the best yet. I hope that you will consider publishing it in the next issue of the Mb. I think people enjoyed the opening ceremony as usual. The CAPLA breakfast meeting seems to be working well. The closing dinner was incredible - as always. The dinner speaker was engaging - just too long. I like the 90 minute workshops, and I think you provided ample choice. However, I do think the closing plenary is due for a change in format. In general, the conference always has a nice inviting atmosphere; lots of sharing and generosity being modelled.

I am assured that you will be planning something special to celebrate our lCVt conference. I expect that the 1999 National Forum in BC might create some travel/budget conflict for people, which will make your task even more challenging. I am confident your creativity will flourish. We truly have something to celebrate. Thank you again for organizing this year's event.

Sincerely,
Roberta Burke, Coordinator

Dear Paul:
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you and your colleagues for hosting such a marvelous educational experience in the form of the annual CAPLA conference. I know I benefited tremendously, and we in Alberta are already planning our provincial networking group to further explore PLA. Please find enclosed my evaluation forms, they were ready a week ago but I was not. Also a separate enclosure for Malcolm Day, as I promised him I would complete the Standards for Practitioners Questionnaire and give him feedback on the instrument itself. I appreciate your taking on the responsibility of forwarding the documents on. The CAPLA conference will now become a permanent fixture on my calendar, and I thank you personally for making my first venture into PLA a supportive and welcoming experience. Have an excellent summer.

Sincerely,
Louise Jewkowicz
